Peter Alliss Invitational Charity Day - Monday 9th September 2024

Firstly, we wanted to say a massive thank you for the generous support of our Sponsors (Haycock Holdings, House of Sarunds, Silver Lady Services & Lester Brunt Wealth Management), the 24 teams who participated, and those who bid at the auction, and to comedian and after-dinner speaker Mike Osman, impersonating Jethrow, for hosting the evening.

A final anticipated total for donation to the Alliss Charity and our own Captain's Charities (Diverse Abilities and the Lexi May Trust) is expected to total in the region of £45,000!

Congratulations went to team "Saint Gobain" comprising Stewart Cawte, James Hardy, Neil Maddison and George Maddison, who scored a fantastic 93 points!

We were delighted to welcome back Jackie Alliss, and Charity's figurehead Steve Rider who also participated in a team.

Thank you to Danny and his team, who presented the Old Course to the highest standard, with firm hard running surfaces and immaculate greens, testing higher and lower handicaps alike!

Thanks go to Kevin Garwood, Head Professional, and the Pro Shop team for all their work on the day, and to Will Sands and his team for keeping the players nourished, and to all the other volunteers who assisted in making this a special day.

Thanks also to Sue Helliker for organising the event, without your hard work, the event would not have run as smoothly and successfully as it did!

And finally, a massive THANK YOU to everyone involved in the event and to you the members for giving the course for the day!
