Applying for Membership
How to join Ferndown Golf Club
Please note: We are currently operating large waitlists across all membership categories
Our application process is designed to ensure that you feel confident and comfortable before becoming a member. We're here to support you every step of the way — so please feel free to ask questions at any time. While we value the traditions and etiquette of the game, we also pride ourselves on offering a warm, inclusive, and modern club experience.

Membership Application Steps

Obtain and complete an application form, available from the office or online here.

Secure the support of two existing Ferndown members to propose and second your application.

Names of applicants and their current home club will be posted on our members' website throughout the process (in accordance with current GDPR).

Play a round with existing members to get a feel for the Club.

Attend an interview with the Club Captain and Committee to ask questions and learn more.
Don’t know any current members?
No problem. You can join initially as a Temporary Member. You'll have six months to meet two members who can then support your application for Full Membership — giving you access to all the benefits of full status.
Note: If you joined as a Junior or Intermediate member, your entrance fee becomes payable on 1st September, after your 25th birthday. you’ll receive 10% off your entrance fee for every continuous year of membership up to that point.
